The story tells of the difficult life of two siblings, Azali Azirun, who share a school uniform every day and often come home early and arrive late to school, which has caught the attention of Teacher Marzuki. Yun and Zali are two orphaned children who lost their father and live together with their mother in poverty. Zali is a somewhat mischievous and clever student, but is frequently caned for arriving late to school because he helps his mother sell nasi lemak around town. Eventually, after the disciplinary teacher follows his brother, Yun runs to give the school uniform he is wearing to his younger brother Zali at school. The teacher feels sympathetic upon hearing of all the hardships they have endured following their father's death in a fire.
